Metro Public Relations

ABOUT

WHO WE ARE

Metro Public Relations is under the direction of a team that got its start at various massive entertainment & corporate marketing firms. We came together to build a company that breaks tradition and elevates our clients' profiles. This includes developing bicultural campaigns that bridge the US market with the increasingly influential Latino market via our offices in Mexico City, and Bogota, Colombia.

Metro Public Relations works diligently to evolve each brand of personality, corporation and non-profit as well as create opportunities for them to cross-pollinate. We listen closely to each client and build a campaign that considers multi-platform and cross-promotional elements and utilizes traditional print and broadcast outlets as well as social media, consumer generated content and grassroots public relations initiatives.

OUR TEAM

> Tess Finkle - President

The seed of a midwife and forensic pathologist, Tess Finkle grew up around the constant reminder that life is too short to not be fearless. Her unorthodox upbringing serves her well in a life quest to make this world a better place one positive news story at a time. After sampling various parts of the entertainment industry, Finkle founded Metro Public Relations, formerly known as Tess Finkle PR. The company quickly grew from a one-woman-couch-crashing show to an established international PR company that services actors, non-profit organizations, events, corporate brands and more. Tess keeps with her good-news agenda and launched the first series of regular charity-focused segments for E! News. She continues to book these pieces that highlight celebrities who take social action and educate fans on how to get involved. Finkle also holds a position on the Artist and Athletes Alliance board of advisors, helping celebrities learn about the issues that face our current administration, as well as sits on St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Hollywood advisory board.

Laura Giangiulio started her career in strategic marketing and public relations for the world’s largest online niche career network before making the trip from her beloved but weather-temperamental east coast to sunny Southern California, where she launched a series of PR initiatives for non-profit organizations. Always keeping in mind her first love, entertainment, Giangiulio shortly thereafter transitioned to the entertainment agency world as a talent publicist. In addition to representing personality clients on television and in film, her current role at Metro PR includes managing the strategic execution of events, corporate, and non-profit campaigns. Giangiulio graduated from Temple University with a degree in Strategic Organizational Communications and International Business.

> Nicole Walther - Account Executive

By many professors remembered as the German student whose papers were better written than 99% of those by native English speakers, Walther started her working career in Interior Design in Germany before making the leap to the United States to pursue a life in communication. After receiving two degrees in the States, Walther proceeded to conquer the worlds of studio publicity, music booking, radio producing, talent relations, and casting. In her current position as Account Executive at Metro PR, she draws on her extensive experience in the many facets of the business to provide clients exceptional service.

> Shannon Mattingly - Account Executive

With a BA from UC Berkeley, Shannon Mattingly comes to the entertainment industry after working in finance. While in the trenches with many other Bay Area money crunchers, Shannon saw the opportunity to allocate funds and volunteer time to non-profit organizations in the community. She found this portion of her job the most fulfilling, so when an opportunity surfaced to help run the Corporate Responsibility Department at the William Morris Agency, Shannon made the transition to full time giver. During her time at the William Morris Agency, Shannon focused on using the influence of their high-power celebrities and staff to create positive social action. Her desire to collaborate with talent and influencers from every agency to serve causes brought her to Metro PR, a company at the forefront of Hollywood philanthropy. Mattingly oversees the company's innovative non-profit division, a section of Metro PR that produces positive news stories about charities, recruits talent for non-profit campaigns, packages causes with corporations and other services to make the impact of every client most effective. Shannon's continual commitment to the community lead her to co-found the inaugural Junior Board for the First Star organization and garnered a seat on St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Latino Gala Committee.
